Recapping Beer Bottles

Lo Stretto Necessario

Brief: Design a set of business travel to a specific skill served half a square meter of wood, and a square meter of felt, the object must be portable and functional to the chosen job.

Development Project: having to be a travel set that allows a jewelry wax model maker to work in transit spaces like a train, a park or a bus, our goal was to to design a table / bag whose opening could be used as a work plan and whose shoulder was also the system with which to set the table legs when seated.

E/sense

E / is not a sense quantification of energy consumption, but it allows the immediate display.
I the operation : the form object can be hung on the wall or simply left on a flat surface, one end of this will be connected to electricity, while the other one or more appliances which you want to display energy consumption.
When I referred to the appliance is turned off, eg. a 'vacuum cleaner or a hair dryer, the guitar string is taut and firm, turning the hair dryer and also trying to vary the power, the string starts to vibrate and his swing will be stronger the more the consumer and the intensity of energy flow .
Project Development : the idea was to exploit a guitar string stretched between two ends and pull out the inside of a box with a speaker that could cause the vibration of the string.

It is therefore a warning system that works graphically and subtly try to strike the imagination of consumers with the ultimate goal of responsible use of appliances home, too often turned on simultaneously and the maximum of their power.
The project is part of a design workshop: Rescuenergy, and has been shown in
Triennale along with other prototypes.

Kates Playground Pictu8res

WATCH out !

Watch out, was designed in the workshop RescuEnergy, in partnership with Eni (Novara research group on alternative energy).

Brief : redesign of everyday household items
aiming to save energy, in our case, reflect on those
home appliances that waste energy even when not in use.

clock, working 24 hours at 24, uses batteries all day, but is only used a few times to look forward.
The project development was therefore focused on redesigning a clock that only works when you have real need.
The result is a kinetic sculpture wall, an object consisting of two sealed boxes, a weight and a dynamo.
using the energy generated by the fall of the weight, a bag containing a handful of rice, the alternator is charging the energy needed to display the time for about two seconds on a digital display.
A small battery with a voltage lower than 3 volts also provides the memory clock, using a reduced total energy consumption.

The object has been built in wood and acrylic, and then exposed Triennale along with other prototypes.

ButterfLED

Brief:
Building of lighting installations to the swings of the parks in Milan with the system using a dynamo that the movement of the see the light of food led to installations designed to be applied.

Development Project:
The intent was to create a swing back to bright. The various possible forms of research was oriented toward an imaginary fairytale face as possible to capture the attention of target audience: children, park goers and lovers of swing!
The result was a back shaped like a butterfly, whose wings, as well as light up at night with many blue LEDs that delineate the boundaries, were also effective in simulating a number of days children "winged" all 'Swing!

Walking on the lines

Based on the Brief: 20 years the Wall Berlin , the goal was to make a video using Processing, programming language geared towards the animation of images and interaction design.
We started the study and research of some particular anomaly that struck us about the history of the Berlin Wall fell, we then discovered that the same blocks of the wall, after its destruction, were used for the construction of roads Berlin, for which, until that momemto, had been an insurmountable barrier.

So lack of communication, roads, fence, step, wall, street ... Brainstorming from a word we came up with the images: lack of communication, barrier, wall = forms sharp, angular lines , especially the graphic picture research inspired by the Bauhaus, road, passage, path = soft shapes and sinuous and then images taken from the scene of Kandinsky.

The final step was to to program these ideas, then become graphic in Processing.
The result: a short video that starts from the construction of angular lines that overlap creating a visual barrier, and ultimately turn into a colorful bundle of fluid lines.
The video was then projected on the giant screen in Piazza Duomo in Milan, in collaboration with NABA and Urbanscreen.

Welcome2myHouse

the concept of home is dematerialized in 4 pieces of lego, 4 boys, 4 friends, 4 tenants ..
What's "Home" at the bottom? A system of balances that are chasing, that wobble, fall off, get together, you Ristaccia and finally come together.
